Welcome to Heartland Pups!

We have new Frenchies and new Aussies!

Special Note

It is with great sadness, that we share with everyone the passing of Jesse Blue Cowgirl. She was our first Australian Shepherd, and the best dog I have ever owned. Her deep love and loyalty to our family will never be forgotten.

Every trip to the mountains will bring memories of her unabandoned joy aJesses she ran through meadows and streams. Returning home is not the same without her smiling face, showing her mouthful of teeth around whatever random article, be it a barbie, a sock, a shoe or any other free token close enough to grab and present to her master. This greeting was also accompanied by a lot of wiggling and a throaty hello, although mumbled. She was protective of my children, but very accepting of anyone with a smile and pat for her. There were very few people she didn't like, but if she was wary, I knew to be cautious as well.

Her intelligence and obedience were just two traits that she passed on to her pups, and they continue on her legacy. We are now having great grandchildren of this marvelous dog, and I hope there is always a small piece of Jesse in my home. We love you and miss you girl. I know you are waiting for us, and we will see you one day with whatever random token you can find to bring and a smile on your beautiful face. Thank you God for sharing this great creature with us.

About Heartland Pups

There have always been dogs in my life. Past PupI became a veterinarian so that I could share my love of animals with others, and to help people learn how to properly care for their beloved pets. I began raising puppies a few years ago with my Australian Shepherd, Jesse. I do not have a kennel. We have a few litters of puppies a year. The mothers are house pets, and the puppies are raised in my kitchen. I strive to provide the best care for my pups, and breed only dogs that conform to breed standard and are free from congenital defects. The puppies receive the best veterinary care I can provide and are fed top quality foods to ensure they develop to their fullest potential. I guarantee the health of my pups, but it is important you understand that a "good" dog is made by a responsible, loving owner. It takes discipline, consistent training, and love to have a pet that everyone appreciates, not just you. One of the most rewarding relationships you can have is the one you develop with your dog.

Blue Merle Female

It is important that you know what breed of dog fits your lifestyle Past Pupbefore you purchase a puppy. I chose these three breeds: Australian Shepherds, Brussels Griffon and French Bulldog after learning about each breed. I love the intelligence and willingness to learn of my Aussie, but being too smart and active can lead to destructive behaviors if Aussies don't have an outlet for their energy.
